“Desiring to justify himself, he said to Jesus, ‘And who is my neighbor?’”
As he so often did, Jesus answered this lawyer’s question with a story, the story of the Good Samaritan. Jesus chose illustration over explanation.
In his Discipleship Series, Christopher Ruff strives to humbly imitate the Master, illustrating discipleship especially through true stories of men and women touched by grace. Who Is My Neighbor continues this approach. Like the other books in the series, it:
- Is ideal for busy people, with 6 short, engaging sessions
- Soaks deeply and prayerfully in a few key Gospel passages
- Connects with real life through timely discussion questions
- Fosters love of neighbor through a simple component of service
- Brings to life each theme with true stories that inspire
-Jean Vanier – The Good Samaritan
-Dorothy Day – The Vine and the Branches
-Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati – The Rich Young Man
-Norma McCorvey – The Woman at the Well
-St. John Vianney – The Raising of Lazarus
-Edith Stein – With Christ on Calvary
The book is 153 pages.
The DVD companion to Who Is My Neighbor enhances and complements the book. Host Christopher Ruff expands on the scriptural themes and provides photos and fascinating details regarding the people profiled in the stories. The DVD has a runtime of 1 hour and 56 minutes.
It is advised that each group have one copy of the DVD and sufficient books for each participant. Each DVD comes packaged with one book.
